Publisher review:HWtest - Test if a locus is in Hardy Weinberg equilibrium The Hardy Weinberg equilibrium is a fundamental law in genetic. Often a locus shows multiple alleles with low frequency, so the application of chi square is avoided. This function use an algorithm to find and pool rare allele, so the application of chi square is possible.
If a locus is biallelic (before or after the pooling algorithm) the function use the exact Hardy Weinberg probability (similar to Fisher exact test). This function requires STATISTICS TOOLBOX because it calls CHI2CDF. In the zip file you can find a demo. Requirements: · MATLAB Release: R2006b · Statistics Toolbox
